Eunice Wu may not be a name readers recognize and that is because she is a bright young face fresh out of film school. She has been assisting in numerous projects for the last couple years but her film “The Best Is Yet To Come” continues to trek the film festival circuit in 2010 raking up numerous screenings and the interest is easy to understand. While the film touches on a very political subject of gay marriage (Proposition 8 in California) it really becomes the subtext of the short film which focuses on a interracial lesbian couple and how ‘out’ they wanna be with their relationship and their difference of opinion on their gay visbility. It is a warm hearted story that tackles hard subject matter (also the cultural aspects of their relationship) that is engaging beginning to end. Proof positive that the best IS yet to come from writer director Eunice Wu.
