Alex Wong’s name instantly invokes images of the best performances on So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD). Although he is a classically trained ballet dancer, it doesn’t escape anyone that he can tackle any style of dance and wow an audience. That’s precisely why they brought him back as an allstar on SYTYCD this season. What most don’t realize is that Alex is a perfect example of a “triple threat” and effortlessly moves between dancing, singing and acting. Before the current season of SYTYCD started, Alex was auditioning for American Idol and landed in Hollywood week before getting cut after which time he joined the cast of Disney’s The Newsies on Broadway. And coming up at the beginning of 2012 is his lead role in the film The Ballet Dancer also starring Jeannie Sakata, Jerry Ying, Jennifer Chang, Cindy Huang and Chayse Ying. But before that happens, we are excited about the debut of his first single and music video directed by Lauren Gottlieb, “Crave,” that debuted today on Fox.com. The single is available on iTunes and Amazon.com!
