The remake of Red Dawn was originally scheduled to be released in 2010! It is inevitable that the controversy surrounding the original 1984 release will follow the remake, i.e., the depiction/demonizing of Asians in film and the Asian American roles in the film. When we sat down with Ron Yuan we wanted to talk about the making of this film and Ron gave us a wonderful insight into the changes that took place elongating it’s journey to a release date.
