Tonight the Billy Wilder Theater will be screening the much anticipated, action-packed film, and big Vietnamese hit, Clash (Bay Rong), by first time director Le Thanh Son. Written by Vietnamese-American (and superstar actor in Vietnam), Johnny Nguyen (The Rebel) who also stars in the film with Ngo Thanh Van, it is a martial arts blow-out about a beautiful mercenary who must perform a series of missions for her crime lord boss to save her kidnapped daughter. Complications set in when she falls for her fellow mercenary whose hidden agenda threatens her own. An impressive feature debut we can’t wait to see in what we expect to be a packed theater!
Director Le Thanh Son will be in attendance for a Q&A and we have been working fast & furious with Johnny Nguyen to film a long distance interview with him from the film set he is on in India to discuss the film so we can make it available via DVD for tonight’s event…fingers crossed!
