Continuing our film previews, next up is a film about a young Chinese-American woman who was disowned by her immigrant mother and is now struggling to make peace. The film is a painful, sometimes comedic journey that has the young woman teetering between a breakdown and breakthrough.

Writer/Actress Vicky Shen wrote and stars in the film that is the essence of what it means to be a indie filmmaker. The film took time, commitment, some new life lessons and lots of support to get to completion. We will be sitting down with Vicky and Actress Jeanne Sakata, who plays her mother in the film, to discuss this labor of love called Adultolescence.

The film will be screened at LAAPFF on April 29th @ 9:45PM at the DGA. For more information about the film and the festival visit the website here: LAAPFF
