Recently we interviewed Timothy Tau and the cast of his film The Case. He is already back behind the camera directing a new web series written by Joshua Murphy that the two have created and produced called Quantum Cops. Filming has already begun for the web series that will be forthcoming Summer 2011. The pilot episode, Law & Chicoban will kick off the series and be released as a short film.
From the minds of Timothy Tau and Joshua Murphy comes a Comedy/Action/Sci-Fi mash-up mixing genre elements (like Timothy Tau’s previous short film, The Case) about two rogue cops with renegade attitudes. Bronson Law (Feodor Chin) and Bennie Chicoban (Joshua Murphy) are the two rogue cops who frequently clash with The Chief (Kelvin Han Yee), and exploit the Rookie (David Huynh) whenever they need to, which is often. When this “badass” cop duo stumbles upon the ability to travel through space and time, no dimension is safe.
The pilot episode also stars Oliver Seitz (German Crime Boss Hans Kaiser), Ina-Alice Kopp (Assassin Puma Dopfer), Jolene Kim (Assassin Fox Kim), Mei Melancon (Agent Alpha, The Sniper), Iyin Landre (Agent Beta, the Explosives Expert) Jin Namkung (Agent Gamma, the Hand-to-Hand Master) and the film debut of Douglas Lee (Agent Omega).
