Alex used his time recuperating from his achilles tendon surgery to show his other talent as a vocalist. Although people were surprised an amazing dancer was auditioning for American Idol, they were even more amazed when he sailed through to Hollywood week and also released his first single “Crave” on itunes in January 2012 proving his singing is as great as his dancing. Alex also just wrapped filming on The Ballet Dancer (due out summer 2012) in the lead role alongside the talent of Jeanne Sakata, Jerry Ying, Jennifer Chang, Erick Esteban and ballet dancer Cindy Huang. He also finished filming the music video for his song “Crave” due out March 2012 and is currently rehearsing for his role in Disney’s Broadway production, Newsies where you can see him on stage starting March 2012…whew…and perhaps we can all hope to see him as an Allstar on this season of SYTYCD!
