Some actors just seem to be born with the acting/singing bug. Take Ashely for example. She started singing at the age of 2 when most of us could barely talk! She always wanted to sing, perform, be on TV and be a film actress. Ashley got her break starring in Disney’s hit musical The Lion King. At the young age of 15 she had landed additional parts in commercials, movies, and TV.
But now back to that singing passion…after she became the youngest performer ever to win five times in a row at Amateur Night at the Apollo and to go on to be a “Star of Tomorrow” at Showtime at the Apollo she got the opportunity to perform at such venues as Universal Citywalk, The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and Dodger Stadium until finally debuting her first CD Ashley in 2008. That was a big year which also saw her land the role as Lulu Johnson on Nickelodeon’s hit series True Jackson, VP in which she still stars. So with only 3 months until she turns 18, we plan to follow up with her to see what she has planned for 2011 because we expect more Ashley!
