Quentin Lee is a rarity among movie directors in Hollywood. Not because he was born in Hong Kong, but because he is a director who has devoted his film career to the Asian-American experience on film. For anyone who hasn’t seen the film he wrote and directed, “Drift” do yourself a favor and watch Reggie Lee’s powerful performance, inparticular, the scene of his decision to leave his partner, and find out why Quentin has become a Hollywood force. In 2007 he revisited his roots with a very personal and political documentary about the transfer of power of his home country, Hong Kong, from the British to the Chinese. And lately? Quentin directed the wonderful comedy “The People I’ve Slept With” that premiered this year at the San Francisco Asian American Film Festival.
Who has Quentin Lee slept with?
