Director Casper Wong’s documentary film The Lulu Sessions was 10 years in the making because it is also a personal story that required Casper to experience her own journey with the film footage, her personal relationship with Dr. Louise Nutter (Lulu) whose story the film is about, to deal with the loss of Lulu to breast cancer, and for Casper to go through her own grief process. This film is a story that had to be told by Casper because as a filmmaker it is her way to honor Lulu and her spirit for living. And making this film is part of her own healing process and finally moving beyond the sadness of losing a loved one and being able to look back at a chapter in her life with a smile and gratitude for being able to know a woman that touched her life so deeply. And wherever Lulu is right now she is smiling down on Casper and putting a big exclamation point at the end of this very long sentence called The Lulu Sessions.

The Lulu Sessions will be screened at the San Diego Asian Film Festival on Oct. 27th @ 7:40PM. For more information visit the website: SDAFF
