Director Nguyen Quang Binh’s film Floating Lives (based on a best selling book) has yet to see a North American release (only two limited showing in Los Angeles) and it is an amazing film that is one of the best performances of Dustin’s career. The emotional impact and outstanding performances of both Dustin and Do Thi Hai Yen carry this film.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented an event, New Voices From Vietnam, in November 2010 which happens to be one of the two screenings in North America. We have been contacted so many times about this film and while there are rumblings about a release in North America, there is nothing yet. So we will continue to keep the film in the spotlight. We interviewed Dustin about the film and also recorded the Q&A after the screening in November 2010 that will give readers a taste of what they are missing.
