East West Players always have such great stage productions. Now through December 5th the play Crimes of the Heart can be seen on stage in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. The play is about three dysfunctional sisters: Babe just shot her husband; Meg is fresh from the loony bin; and Lenny celebrates her birthday alone by sticking a candle in a cookie. Based on the Pultizer Prize winning story it takes on a unique twist when performaed by as Asian cast. The play was written by Beth Henley and Directed by first time director/actress Leslie Ishii and features Maya Erskine, Kimiko Gelman, Elizabeth Liang, Hiwa Bourne, Tim Chiou, and Jason Sino.
