ARTISTS AT PLAY are playing again! Don’t miss COWBOY VERSUS SAMURAI now through October 20th in Los Angeles.

Artists at Play Entertains With Cowboy versus Samarai
by Jimmy Zhang

It’s hard to bring race, relationships and humor into one conversation, but Cowboy versus Samurai, directed by Peter J Kuo, does exactly that with a brilliant cast whose performances are filled with humor, awkwardness, and moments of introspective truth. Good staging, imaginative lighting, and a clever story help carry the performance.

Michael Golamco’s writing is crisp, edgy and witty; his commentary on society, race and relationships is never too serious or heavy-handed to be a turn-off, and never too light to be not taken seriously. Actors Feodor Chin, Julia Cho, Daniel Vincent Gordh, and West Liang collectively bring the solid script to life–they take you way beyond the page and into the character’s psyche.

Sit back and enjoy Artists at Play’s rendition of Cowboy versus Samurai before it ends October 20th.
