Once upon a time there was a talented Asian-American actor named John Wusah who was in a multi-racial stage production called SILENCE written and directed by Don Welch that brilliantly combined horror and comedy, not an easy task. John played the brother of the African-American lead. Somewhere in the casting perhaps there was an intended joke in that John’s sister had no idea her brother was a different ethnicity because her character was blind! But as Don said, it’s about the story, it’s about taking chances on stage and ultimately it’s about a good cast and telling the audience ‘here is my stage family.’ Don’s work in his writing, directing and castings is not just refreshing, but it was inspiring. That inspiration has to be shared!

Don B. Welch’s stage production TAKE IT TO THE LORD…OR ELSE! is one night only, December 14th @ 8:00PM at the Ebell Theater. For tickets: Take It To The Lord….or Else!
