We have been delving deeper into Asian-American Hollywood and by that we mean finding the talent that you may not be so familiar with even though you may know their films and TV shows. Take for instance James Huang. You will find him in the new film Skyline, but we have yet to see him as a lead in mainstream film or TV! In fact, James is on the one hand a veteran actor with a career stretching back more than ten years in the industry and on the other hand an up-and-coming actor.
We caught up with James and had him sit down for an interview to talk about what it means to be a working actor, someone who is landing roles and keeping busy, but perhaps hasn’t gotten that lead or co-starring role just yet. So while we edit that interview we thought we would share with you his demo reel first (which readers tell us they really like seeing) and and then a short film, Above Average, he wrote, directed and starred in (one of many) that allows him to have some comedic fun with all his friends in the business.
