Since this film festival is in L.A., we have been very involved in promoting the actors/actresses/directors who had films screened at this years event. In all we interviewed almost 60 people which even makes us feel exhausted just thinking about it! We saw many great films that were screened to sold out audiences and some of those we interviewed won awards at last night’s ceremony. Awards include: Iris Shim who won the Grand Jury Award (Documentary) for outstanding film and director for The House of Suh; Jason Woodford (Cinematography, Documentary) and Jeff Chiba Stearns (Editing, Documentary) for One Big Hapa Family; Ian Gamazon, Grand Jury Prize (Narrative) for both his film and his directing for Living In Seduced Circumstances; Where the Road Meets the Sun (Narrative) won awards for Cinematography and Ensemble acting; Chris Paperson Woon won for audience favorite for Among B-Boys (Documentary); and Byron Q won the Special Jury Award for best first feature for his film Bang Bang.
