Vicky Shen, Writer/Director/Actress (also crazy for taking on so much!) finished her feature film Adultolescence with the very specific goal of having it premiere at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. After editing over 60 hours of film, and reflecting back with a new perspective on her film after becoming a mother herself, she made more edits and finally came to the end of the process to premiere her film right where she wanted it screened first, LAAPFF. The film explores the very complex relationship between mother, Jeanne Sakata, and daughter, Vicky Shen, who have different ideas of happiness and must find the common ground of love and happiness in their mother/daughter bond.
Adultolesecence will be screened on April 29th at 9:45PM at the DGA. For more information about the film and the festival, visit the website here: LAAPFF.
